Jackie Nickerson, CVT
Hospital Manager
Jackie began working as a Veterinary Assistant in 2014 and completed her Veterinary Technician degree from Penn Foster in January 2020, passing the Veterinary Technical National Exam (VTNE) in June. Jackie has a passion for taking care of sick animals, she has taken in a number of pets in need and given them the same passion she gives her patients at work.
DR. CAPRARO
Veterinarian
Amy graduated in 2019 from the Ontario Veterinary College in Canada. Amy has been a doctor for 4 years, though she has been working in the veterinary field for 10 years total. She moved to Massachusetts in July from New Hampshire was she was born and raised. When asked her what her favorite animal is, Amy responded “CATS”. We have failed to find a cat Amy doesn’t want to hug. Amy has an 8-year-old tabby named Bellatrix, and a 7-year-old black cat named Huck. Her favorite parts of veterinary medicine include dentistry, surgery, and preventative care!
DR. KINGSTON
Veterinarian
Abbey graduated from Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in May. She completed her undergrad at UMass Amherst where she fell in love with goats and has been in the veterinary field for 10 years. Her favorite animals include all cats, goats, and honeybees! The Kingston zoo consists of 4 cats, 1 dog, chickens, honeybees (about 50,000) and a goat. Her passions within vet med include surgery, pain management in older patients, teaching and public health.
DR. FOURNIER
Veterinarian
Jean graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2020 and is a Fear Free Professional. She has spent 10 years working in the veterinary field, 3 as a veterinarian and 7 as a technician. Jeans favorite animal is a giraffe! At home, she has a dog named Loki. Though we see cats and dogs at BVC, Jean has a special interest in wildlife and exotics. During her breaks, Jean us often knitting, crocheting or reading. A fun fact about Jean is that she loves to sing … mostly off key.
